Henry was born in Kentucky a twin son. On April 7, 1906 he married Daisy Risner the daughter of Conway Risner and Ellen Ann Wadkins. Henry and Daisy's children are; Benjamin F. Jenkins,and a child that died before 1910. Henry's second wife was Clarinda Phipps the daughter of John W. Phipps and Rosetta Risner. Their children are; Harrison Jenkins, Etta (Jenkins) Montgomery, Thelma (Jenkins) Howard, Florilla (Jenkins) Harris, Virgil Jenkins, Wanzo Jenkins and Analine (Jenkins) Ewing.
