Betty Elaine Culver, age 71, of Athens, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
Elaine was born in Jackson County on July 30, 1950. She was a member of Bear Creek First Baptist Church in Winder. She loved gardening, traveling, studying genealogy, her family, and she especially loved being "Super Nana" to her great-grandchildren. People who knew Elaine knew that she was a hard worker. She was a seamstress at H&H Manufacturing until they closed. When H&H closed, they provided for her to go to medical assisting school and afterwards she was a medical assistant for Dr. Clark. Later in life, she enjoyed being on the road with her husband as a long haul trucker.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents John William Smith and Ima Gene Dalton James; her husband, Elder Wilson Culver; brothers: Mitchell Smith, Johnny Smith, and Ronnie Smith; and her sister, Sandra Hubbard. She is survived by her children: Jeremy "Bubba" Culver of Statham and Jenny (Woody) Cowart of Watkinsville; three grandchildren: Christy Jackson, Kollin Culver, and Kaleb Culver; three great-grandchildren: Raelyn Jackson, Silas Jackson, and Malachi Culver; and her sister, Kay Little of Statham.
A celebration of Elaine's life will be held at 2PM Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Bear Creek First Baptist Church.
