Paraguayan Politician. He served as the 36th President of Paraguay from June 3, 1948 to August 15, 1948. He started in politics at an early age and later studied law at the National University of Asuncion, where he earned his doctorate in 1912. He later served as the President of the Supreme Court of Justice and it was in this position in which he assumed the office of provisional President of Paraguay after the resignation of Higinio Morinigo in June of 1948. His tenure lasted two months until he stepped down in favor of Juan Natalicio Gonzalez in August of 1948. After his presidential tenure, he remained in the field of law until his death.
