On 18 Dec 1998, Marilyn S. Spencer was invited to the White House, Washington, DC by President and Mrs. William J. Clinton. Marilyn had knitted three tiny hats on stick figures what was on the outside of a knitted winter cap with attached gloves. This was used as a Christmas tree decoration on the top half, south side of the tree in the Blue Room. After attending this function on a special tour, we took a taxi to the Capitol, obtained passes from Congressman Rick Boucher, and attended the impeachment hearings in the House. After a lengthy wait outside, we were searched, and attended from approximately 5:45 to 6:45 PM. During part of the hearing there was applause from the gallery to the speaker on the floor (approximately 6:15 PM), and the chair requested that we were guests and that this was not acceptable. This would appear in the Congressional Record for that date. On 19 Dec 1998, President William "Bill" Clinton was impeached on two counts by the House, which will be forwarded to the Senate in January 1999.

Suburban News, 31 Jan 1963, Spencerport, NY Marilyn Sanderson to wed Dana Spencer--The engagement of Miss Marilyn Gay Sanderson, daughter of Mrs. Arthur Sanderson of Rochester and the late Mr. Sanderson, to Dana Richard Spencer has been announced. Mr. Spencer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R. Milford Spencer of Amity Street, Spencerport, NY. Miss Sanderson will be graduated from the RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology) inJ une. Mr. Spencer a graduate of RIT, is serving an internship in dietetic studies at the Hudson River State Hospital in Poughkeepsie.

Chased by a Bull---One day when I was visiting in Connecticut on a farm I went to the pasture where the cows were grazing. I was wearing a pair of red overalls and a red sweater. I thought there were only cows in the pasture. I was going to take them in to the barn to be milked. I got them all in but one. When I got to him he started to chase me all around the pasture. When he stopped my uncle was standing by the fence. He said that he had forgotten to tell me that there was a bull in the pasture with the cows. Then he said that the bull doesn't like the color of red. That is how I got chased by a bull--Marilyn Sanderson, 5th Grade

In mother's handwriting: "born Sun. A.M. 12:54, 27 Sept 1942, Highland Hospital, (Rochester, NY); Dr. Sake, weight 7 lbs. 12 oz. Came home Monday night, 5 Oct 1942--9 day stay. Aunt Carrie was over and stayed from Midnight 28 Sept 1942 to 11 AM 10 Oct 1942. 10 inches on 11 Oct 1942, Sunday night; weight on Sat. 17 Oct 1942, 9 lbs. 10 oz. Marilyn takes first ride in "liza" in same car that Bobby took his first ride in"

Marilyn prides herself with finishing projects. Unlike many of us that have many (many) unfinished projects, she brags to us that she has nothing to work on during our UPG (Unfinished Projects Group) that meets on the opposite Monday of our guild meetings. Her most recent project was the Cottage Creations Log Cabin Afghan. It was simply beautiful andgoes wonderfully with her new log cabin house they moved into last December. Marilyn is the treasurer of the Knitch Knitters Guild. She has been responsible to getting us our beautiful shirt and bags that proudly display KnitchKnitter's of Blacksburg, Virginia printed on them.
