Dr. John Parks (1816-89) was the son of Andrew (1773-1836) and Harriot Washington Parks (1776-1822), of Spotsylvania County, Va. He married in 1846, Lucy M. Anderson (1827-), and they resided in Kanawha County, [W]Va. Three children were Dr. Albert Washington (1853-1911)(unm.), Laura Shelton (1855-62), and Anna Wall Parks (1859-c1950)(unm.).
