Mr. Lester Warren G. Harding, 70, of Harpers Ferry, WV; died at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, WV.

Mr. Harding, born in Bakerton, WV; was the son of the late Grover Spencer Cleveland and Etta Mae Jones Harding. In addition to his parents, he was also precedd in death by two sisters, Areda Gifft and Edra Enda Welty and a brother, Harvey Harding.

Mr. Harding was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II having served in Europe and receiving a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He also served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. He was a carpenter by trade. He also served as Chief of Police for the Town of Harpers Ferry from the mid 1960's to the early 1980's.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his 2 sons, L. Monte Harding of Ranson, WV and Eric G. Harding of Inwood, WV. 2 daughters, Cynthia L. D'Angelo of Charles Town, WV and Robin A. See of Kearneysville, WV. a son and 2 daughters by a previous marriage, Warren Dale Harding, Mannings, WV and Gale Dodson and Faye See both of Charles Town; a brother, Harold B. Harding and wife Bertha and 2 sisters, Elsie Higgs and Hilda Crawford Longerbean and husband Frank; ten grandchildren, and a host of neices, nephews and friends.
