Zénon A. (Antoine?) Bordelon, the twelfth and last child born of Antoine Bordelon (b.6-1733 in New Orleans), and Marguerite (Perrine) Leonard dit Frederic, (b.2-20-1746 in New Orleans). Zénon served as a private, 16th Louisiana Regiment, Thompson's Louisiana Militia, during the War of 1812. He was a twin brother to Valery (Charles) Bordelon where they were members of the Police Jury after Louisiana statehood. His grandfather was Gabriel Laurent Bordelon of Le Havre, France, purported to be the first Bordelon in Louisiana, specifically New Orleans. His grandmother was Anne Françoise Roland of St. Germain, L'Aurerois, Paris, France.
About 1804, Zénon married Eulalie Aimee Geoffroin (Joffrion), (b. January 13, 1789, d. February 6, 1866 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana). She was daughter of Joseph Joffrion (the Alcalde) and Francoise Bouchard. Zenon and Eulalie had 13 surviving children; Zénon II (1804), Gilbert (1806), Joseph (1808), Louis Felicien (1809), Seville [St. Ville]) (1812), Victorie (1814), Marguerite (1815), Vital (1818), Rousul (1819), Eulalie (1821), Arsene (1823), Norbert (1825) and Joséphine (1827).
Zénon's estate inventory went into succession on May 23, 1842 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.
