She is also survived by niece, Lynn Haggblom (Raleigh, N.C.).

During her mid-life, Margareta earned a Bachelors at Mary Washington University and a Masters degree in Architectural History from the University of Virginia. She fought for the preservation of many local historic sites.

Margareta loved to travel and did so to many countries in Europe, enjoying the culture, food, natural beauty and historical sites in Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, France, Italy and Greece.

The family welcomes those who wish to celebrate her life to a memorial service at 3 p.m., on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at Chancellor Baptist Church, 11324 Gordon Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
