Mrs. Mixer was born Nov. 29, 1911, in Columbus Township, a daughter of George W. and Alice Mason Deming. She married Leslie H. Mixer March 21, 1929, in Quincy. He died Oct. 24, 1987.
A homemaker, Mrs. Mixer farmed with her husband in the Camp Point area and later east of Loraine until their retirement. She was a member of Loraine Christian Church, the Loraine Community Club and Loraine Senior Citizens.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen Maxine Vessey of Quincy and Mrs. Sanford (Hazel) Ash of Macomb; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, F. Mae Lierlie; four brothers, Otis, Arthur, Elmer and Loren Deming; and a granddaughter.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Loraine Christian Church by the Rev. Russell Corrigan. Burial will be in New Loraine Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday with family meeting friends after 6 p.m. in Curry-Hunter Funeral Home in Mendon.
Memorials may be made to Loraine Christian Church or Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
