Martin R. Polignone, Jr., a 20-year area resident, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2008 at his home. He was 24.
The son of Ursula Bartlett Polignone and the late Martin R. Polignone, Sr., he was born on March 1, 1983 in Hackensack, NJ.
He was a Police Officer for N.Y.P.D. 52nd Precinct in the Bronx. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Iraq and a member of V.F.W. Post #8858 in Harriman.
He is survived by his wife, Kristi A. Cancellieri Polignone of Monroe; daughter, Kyla Ann "Pretty Girl" Polignone, at home; mother, Ursula Polignone of Monroe; brother, Joseph S. Polignone of Monroe; and maternal grandmother, Ursula Bartlett McKewn of Green Acres, FL.
Visitation will be Friday, January 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 26, at 9:45 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 42 Goshen Ave., Washingtonville, with the Rev. John Keaveney officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Washingtonville.
