Born in Seaford, DE, the son of the late Alice Mae Wilkerson and Virgil Alvin Chaffinch, Sr. He was a construction worker.
He is survived by a daughter, Amanda L. Chaffinch of Bridgeville, DE; a brother, John R. Chaffinch and wife Wendy of Seaford; a sister, Belinda J. Harriman and husband Rudy of Seaford; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Chaffinch and Savannah Brittingham.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 1, at 2 pm, in WATSON-YATES FUNERAL HOME, Front & King Streets, Seaford, where friends may call from 1-2 pm, prior to the services. Reverend Timothy McDorman will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Delaware Chapter, 2 Mill Road, Wilmington, DE 19801.
