Head of Allied Board, Bond Specialist Here, Was 59

Montclair, N. J., July 2 - Kerby H. Fisk, board chairman and chief executive officer of the Allied Chemical Corporation in New York, died this morning in Palm Beach, Fla., where he was on a business trip. His home was at 185 Gates Avenue here.

Mr. Fisk's death was apparently due to a heart attack induced by a chronic asthmatic condition. He was 59 years old.

In addition to his Allied Chemical positions, Mr. Fisk was a director of the Minneapolis - Honeywell Regulator Company, The Washington Post and Times Herald and the Montclair National Bank and Trust Company.

A native of East Orange, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Harvard in 1926. He joined the Lee Higginson Corporation in Wall Street that year and later worked in the concern's Cleveland office. He next joined L. F. Rothschild & Co., also in Wall Street.

Mr. Fisk, a specialist in the handling of debentures, was with Auchincloss, Parker & Redpath in New York before joining the Prudential Insurance Company of America in Newark as a vice president in 1951. He joined Allied Chemical, a manufacturer with more than 100 plants, in 1955.

Mr. Fisk served first as a director of Allied and as financial adviser to the late Eugene A. Meyer of Washington, a founder of the concern. Mr. Fisk was named board chairman in February 1958, and chief executive officer in September 1959.

Recently he had been elected board chairman of the Manufacturing Chemists Association of Washington. He was a director of the National Industrial Conference Board. He served for a number of years as a trustee of Kimberly School of Montclair, a private elementary school.

He leaves two daughters, Miss Helen Heath Fisk of Montclair and Mrs. Richard Dailey of Short Hills; a sister, Mrs. Fanchon Gray, and a brother, Arthur, both of New York, and three grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held in the Community Congregational Church on Cooper Avenue in Upper Montclair, at 3 P.M. on Thurday.
