Emma Lizzie Junek Hadachek, daughter of Frank and Alojzie Lucy Wesley Junek, was born, January 26, 1890, on a farm near Cedar Bluffs, NE. and died July 18, 1987 at Republic County Hospital, Belleville.
She was baptized in the Presbyterian church at Cedar Bluffs, NE. She was reared by her grandparents at the age of 1 1/2 years, following her mother's death, and at four years of age moved with her father and his second wife, Antonia Cochnar, to a farm south of Cuba by covered wagon. Their machinery was sent by railroad She attended Harper School south of Cuba.
She married Charles Hadachek on April 26, 1910 at Cuba, KS. To this union four children were born. They were married 58 years, having celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1960. They resided on the same farm east of Cuba for 52 years.
Her husband died May 15, 1968. She moved to a mobile home and lived 14 years at the hone of her son and family. In 1982 she entered the Health Care Center. She was a member of BB Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three half-brothers, Frank, Edward, and William Junek; two half-sisters, Frances Junek Barnett and Sylvia Junek Skocny; twin sons, Edward and Ernest in 1919; three great-grandsons, twins, Daniel and Dwight Routh, and John Philip Routh.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. La Vern (Lucille) Routh of Twin Falls. Idaho; one son, Eugene of Cuba; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian Church USA in Cuba conducted by Tom Ballard. Interment was in (Kopsa) National Bohemian Cemetery southeast of Cuba, Kansas.
