Julie had practiced medicine in San Antonio for nine years. Following graduation from Texas Tech University, she completed her medical studies at Southwestern Medical School and Vanderbilt Medical School. She was a partner in the IMED.
Julie is survived by her husband, Ben; her parents, Jack and Jan; two sisters, Kay and Sharon, and four brothers, Thomas, David , Randy, and Jim. IShe was also survived by twenty-two nieces and nephews.
