Robert Earle Stampe, age 87, of Wildwood, Florida passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. Robert was born March 3, 1935, son of Herbert Earle and Mary Juanita (Woll) Stampe in Goose Lake, Iowa.

Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduating from Churubusco High School in Churubusco, Ind. and after marrying his hometown girl friend, Shirley Gaff. Robert was stationed at Ft. Meade, Md. where he worked for the Army Security Agency which worked closely with the National Security Agency. When his army hitch ended, he returned to Churubusco to work for J. I. Case, then for International Harvester in Ft. Wayne, Ind. for 21 years. When the company closed the factory, Bob and his second wife, Gloria Stookey, moved to South Bend, Ind. where Bob worked for American General, manufacturer of the Humvee for the U.S. Army. Bob and Gloria then moved to Wildwood, Fl. where Bob worked until he retired in 2001 for Avesta Sheffield, a manufacturer of steel pipes.
Bob and his first wife, Shirley, had two children: Robin Earle Stampe and Renee Elizabeth Stampe Titzer.
