Ailing for almost a year and bedfast for the last 19 weeks, Frances E., wife of Henry W. Schick, a native of Reading, and for five years a teacher in the public schools, died of a complication of diseases on Friday at her home, 116 South Eighth street.
Deceased was born in this city and was a daughter of Henry A. and Elizabeth Homam,, both deceased. She received her education in the public schools of the city and graduated from the local High School for Girls in the class of 1882. For about five years she was a teacher at Tenth and Green streets. Mrs. Schick was a member of St. James' Lutheran church and of the Topton Orphans' Home Society connected with the congregation.
Surviving are her husband, four children, Esther L., Walter H., Charles O., and Francis H., all of Reading; two sisters, E. Alice and Clara L. Homan and one brother, Charles A. Homan, of Reading.
