Lemuel Whitaker Boykin IV, 75, of Yonges Island, husband of Nancy Boykin, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022.

Friends and family are invited to his service on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1pm at Christ Church, Hwy 174, Adams Run, SC. Inurnment will immediately follow.

Whitty was born on September 4, 1946 in Pinopolis, SC, son of the late Lemuel and Elizabeth Boykin. He served in the US Navy. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed. He was a lifelong marine contractor, antique equipment enthusiast, and an avid sportsman.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: Children: Lemuel Whitaker Boykin V (Jackie) and Emily Macbeth Boykin (David Craig); Grandchildren: Lemuel Whitaker Boykin VI and Abigail Blaise Boykin; and siblings: Elizabeth Byrd and Marcia Spainhour.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ Church Cemetery Fund, 5034 Chapel Road, Meggett, SC 29449.
