Martha C. Collins, 74, of Louisville, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. She was born in Louisville on January 15, 1948 to the late Gene Sr. and Martha Dunn.
Martha was an avid University of Louisville fan and enjoyed staying up at all hours of the night to watch the Olympics whenever they were on. Despite being on a fixed income, Martha was incredibly generous and donated monthly to St. Jude, Kosair Children's Hospital, ASPCA and Feed the Children. She was loving and kind and will be missed deeply by everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her lifelong love, Donald "Mac" McDaniels and a great-niece, Misty Parker.
Left to cherish her memory is her twin sister, Mary Dunn; a brother, Gene Dunn; nephews, Nick (Lisa) Hester, Theresa (Ted Bisig) Hester, Robert (Seegie Crume) Ritter and Gene Dun III; and many great nieces, great nephews and friends.
The family welcomes guests for visitation from 2:00-8:00pm on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Heady-Cralle Funeral Home (2428 Frankfort Avenue). A service to celebrate Martha's life will take place at the funeral home at 10:30 am on Friday, July 1, 2022 with burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
