Lucia Acosta, 4, a member of the Hillsboro community, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at her home.

Lucia Bella Acosta came in to this world February 12th of 2018. She was the happiest baby from the very beginning. She had the sweetest most contagious laugh, and the most precious little crinkle on her nose when she would smile. Lucia was so full of life and was the absolute best dancer from the moment she was able to sit up on her own to the very last moment when she lost the ability to even move. Nothing stopped that girl from even tapping her little foot or bopping her head to the beat. Music has been a huge part of her life. Not just dancing but also singing, she would sing her little heart out to the songs she loved most. Lucia was just overall so entertaining and the life of the party because if she wasn't singing or dancing she was reenacting her favorite movie scenes if not the entire movie. She was so entertaining and always had us laughing. Beside all the entertainment Lucia was the biggest sweetheart. She was so lovable and the best person to cuddle. She always thought of her sisters and did the sweetest gestures. Lucia was the middle child of 3 sisters. Her older sister Mia is 7 and was her very best friend. Ella is 2 and is the youngest sister and was the type of sister that always fought over everything but in the end hugged it out. Lucia was also very attached to her grandpa before his passing. She had him wrapped around her little finger! They were our favorite duo and could turn a hard day in to the best day with just seeing him and being in his arms. Lucia was months away from being born before her grandma passed, which led us to name her after her.

Lucia was a big on movies especially trolls that she had even asked to be poppy for Halloween and she loved it! She was a Disney fan. She loved Disney movies even more after going to Disneyworld after her diagnosis she then became obsessed with the castle. Every time we would watch a Disney movie at the beginning she would point to the castle and say "remember we saw the castle" she was so mesmerized that she wanted to go back and see it every time.
During her radiation treatment her entire medical team fell in love with her. She was the most spoiled patient and seemed like everyone looked forward to seeing Lucia that day. Every time she met a new nurse they would ask her what her name name was and she would say "Cia Princess" that's how that name became a thing. She doesn't go by Lucia anymore she is referred to as Cia princess.

To know Cia was to love her. She captivated an entire village. And anyone who knew her would fall in love with her. She was a beautiful little innocent soul. Cia will always be so loved and remembered. And her legacy will live on forever!
