Newton Anatoile Plicque was born on December 14, 1890 in Nashville, Davidson County, Tennessee, the son of Charles Plicque (1854–1933) and Mary "Catheryne" (Drennan) Plicque (ca 1856–1931). {He signed his June 1917 World War I Draft Registration Card as Newton Antoil Plicque.}

He was married on April 18, 1916 in Nashville to Sarah D Walk (1896–1970), the daughter of cabinet maker Robert P Walk (1865–1951) and Lena E "Leah" (Mumpower) Walk (1865–1910). At the time of his marriage, Newton was working at Sidebottom Ice Cream Company.

Living at 1704 Ridley Blvd in Nashville, Davidson County and a salesman with Mayo Sausage Company, Newton was 72 years old and married when he had a heart attack and died at home on November 1, 1963.

Survivors included his widow Sarah Walk, daughter Miss Elizabeth Plicque, brothers Julius Plicque and Charles Plicque and sisters Mrs Mamie DeFord and Mrs Josephine Peal.

Funeral Services were held on November 4th at Pettus-Owen & Wood Funeral Home, and burial was in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Nashville.
