Donna Maxine Haines, age 82 of Xenia, Ohio passed away October 25, 2012 with her family by her side. She was born on July 15, 1930 in London, Ohio. The daughter of Fred and Elva Evans and one of nine children; Robert, Mildred, Eugene, Jack, Donald, Ruth and Betty Jane which are all deceased, along with one surviving brother Dick (Jeanette) Evans. Maxine is survived by her husband of 48 years James "Jim" Haines; daughter: Pat (Paul) Henson of Rocky River, Ohio; son: Bill (Laura) Mercer of Centerville, Ohio; granddaughters: Lisa Noes, Lara Music, and Leann Mercer; grandson: Ben (Meredith) Mercer. "Gram" also has seven great-grandchildren: Bobbi (Jesse) Stein, Megan Stephenson, Daniel Stephenson, Jaclyn Noes, Kailey Graham, Matthew Mercer, and J.P. Mercer. She also has one great great granddaughter Emma Stein. Maxine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the many nurses and caregivers who made mom's final days comfortable and loving. Funeral services will be 7 PM Tuesday October 30, 2012 at the McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 5 PM until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Donna's name to Hospice of the Miami Valley.
