He was born July 6, 1964 in Mansfield. He was a cook at the Brickley Restaurant having worked there when it was Swig's, Reese's and the Bayou Café - a total of 15 years at that location. Prior to that, he worked for Jack Miller Plastering.
Mark is survived by his mother, Joyce A. (Malone) Ash; 4 sisters, Ruby Ash, Violet and Ed Kaufman , Evelyn and Dan Cattey and Vivian Ash all of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his father, Harrison T. Ash and by a sister, Lois Ballard.
Friends may call on Monday, January 21, 2008 from 5-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 11:00 AM by Dr. Bruce Philippi. Pastor of Journey Life Center officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
