A suspected seventh sibling of the Marx Brothers, researcher Simon Louvish uncovered this new name in a 1905 census. "Sam-age three!"

Not the most diligent search, nor the consulting of seers, mediums and soothsayers has managed to come up with any trace of this new child. Birth and death certificates have been pored over for requisite years, to no avail. Possible conclusions May be that either the census taker was drunk, or the family listed a neighbour who was present at the time in the house (a prank at best), or perhaps the family was fed up with official questions from New York's frazzled enumerator.

Only the shadowy ghost of a seventh Marx brother chuckles in the fog of "must-have-beens".
