After a brief illness, Rondell Leon Davis went home to the Lord on November 29, 2015 surrounding by his family.

Rondell was born on April 26, 1941 in Quinlin, Texas to J.P. Dalmer Davis and Buena Hulse Davis. While growing up he traveled through Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi due to his father working in the oil fields. At 18 years old, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy where he served over 21 years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He served on the U.S.S. Bennington, U.S.S. Oriskany, U.S.S. Intrepid, and U.S.S. Enterprise. After retiring he worked at VSE Corporation for 15 years, while going to night school to get an A.A. in Business Management.

In his free time he enjoyed bowling, shooting, being a grandpa taxi, watching NCIS, John Wayne movies, and westerns. He also enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and chaperoning the women on their bowling trips. He was very proud of his years in services, his family and being a Texan.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years Carol; son, Scott Davis; two daughters, Michelle Riebe and Lori Tucker and husband Chris Tucker; his nine grandchildren, Janine, Jerralyn, and Jaiden Davis; Anthony, Jonathan, Patricia, and Bryan Riebe; Joshua and Austin Tucker; all of Oxnard, CA. Sister and brother-in-law, Ovela and Will Anderson of Quinlan, TX; sister and niece, Charman and Amberly Davis of Greenville, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, J.P. Dalmer Davis; mother, Buena Hulse Davis; and sister, Carolyn Sikorski.

A Memorial Service will be held at Conejo Mountain Funeral Home, 2052 Howard Road, Camarillo, CA on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. If you would like to a make a donation in his memory, they can be made to The Hirschberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research at www.pancreatic.org
