G. S. Spell Died of Apoplexy Friday
George Silas Spell, age 66, died of a stroke of appoplexy about 2:00 Friday afternoon.He was at Alexander's saw mill, a few miles from his home, where he was having lumber hauled.It is said that he was persuaded not to assist in loading a heavy piece of lumber, which he was about to dok truned around and sat down.In an instant he fell over dead.He suffered a stroke about a year ago, and has ahd high blood pressure for a long time.
Mr. Spell is regarede as one of the county's best citizens.
He is survived by his widow, three sons, C. J., T. P., and G. C. Spell, and five daughters, Mrs. M. S. Harrison (?), Mrs. W. H. Cochran, Mrs. P. D. Winge, and Mrs. M. E. Fiveash, and Miss Nina Spell.

IN MEMORY OF MR. GEORGE SPELL
On November 13th, 1925, Mr. G. S. Spell was stricken and died very suddenly.The news of his death was quite a shock to the entire community.He was loved by his neighbors and counted his friend by those who knew him.He was born in Laurens County, Georgia, 66 years ago last July, lived there through his youth and until early mangood.
He was always a quiet, good boy and made a man of unexcelled qualities.
He was married in early manhhod to Miss Jennie Jordan, also of Laurens County and was to her a devoted husband and companion.Of their union there were 8 children:T.P., G.C., and C.J. Spell;Mesdames H.N. Roddenberry, W.H. Cochran, ?,D. Wing, L.E. Fiveash and Miss Nina Spell, all of this county.He was a kind, indulgent father and seemed so proud of his children and frandchilidren, of which there are 26.

George and Jenny Spell moved from Johnson County, GA,Buckeye community, to Tattnall County, GA in 1904??Family members told Sue S. Sapp that he and the boys loaded their possessions on a wagon and set out for Toombs County.The trip took a week.
