RINGLING -- Services for Pearl Sarrah Priscille Whitener, 84, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. J. W. Ray and the Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Crow Cemetery.

Born March 14, 1915, at West Plains, Mo., to Marion Henry and Maggie Ann Johnson Climer, she died March 10, 2000, at a Healdton hospital. She married James Henry Whitener Jan. 14, 1936, at Richmond, Texas. He preceded her in death May 20, 1984. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Ed, David, Frank and John Climer; and two sisters, Gladys Marshall, 1978, and Alphia Zardin, 1998.

Mrs. Whitener moved with her family from Missouri to the Shawnee area when she was five. Following her marriage she and her husband moved to Houston where she assisted her husband in his contracting business until retirement in 1968. In 1968 they moved to Ringling where they farmed and ranched. She was a longtime, active member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include one brother, Henry Clime, Oklahoma City.

Pallbearers are Calvin Wade, Harold Jackson, Clinton McElfresh and Joe Williams. Honorary bearer is Jaime Blodgett.

Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home.
