Daughter of Robert LaVerne & Barbara Mae Nenno Shepard

Michelle Marie "Mickey" Shepard, 40, of Blockton, formerly of Waterloo, died April 6, 2005, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

She was born Sept. 28, 1964, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Robert LaVerne and Barbara Mae Nenno Shepard. She attended school in Waterloo and worked at Pamida Stores in Mount Ayr and Lamoni, and most recently worked at Papettis of Iowa, Lenox. She was a member of the Blockton First Responders.

Survivors include her mother of Waterloo; a brother, Mark Shepard of Waterloo; three sisters, Denise Tate of Houston, Texas, and Robin Shepard and Cynthia Shepard, both of Waterloo; and her fiance, John Cavin of Blockton.

Preceded in death by her father.

Services were April 9 at Christian Church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Blockton. Wilson-Wilson & Armstrong, Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, was in charge of arrangements.
