Sue was born the daughter of Raymond Lee Williams and Mary Rouse Williams. Sue served and was honorably discharged from the U.S. ARMY in 1951. She married Billy Gene Hendrix on August 11, 1951 and together they happily welcomed the arrival of seven sons and one daughter. Sue was an avid artist, painter, and gardener and never spent an idle moment. She was happy as a homemaker that was very evident in the wonderful family that she raised. "100 pounds of dynamite" best describes her zestful personality. She was soft and tender yet strong and tough as nails when necessary. Once you met her, you could never forget her because she was definitely one of a kind. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Rouse Williams. Sue leaves behind her soul mate of nearly 54 years, Bill Hendrix, of Waller. She leaves her seven precious sons; Billy Gene Hendrix, Jr. and wife Sandy, Randall Ray Hendrix and wife Tracy, Glendell Starr Hendrix and wife Annette, Robert Thomas Hendrix and wife Cindy, Michael Lance Hendrix and wife Rebecca, James Timothy Hendrix, Stephen Shannon Hendrix and wife Melissa, and her cherished daughter Gloria Sue Byer. She also leaves twenty-five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Raymond Thomas Williams, his wife Delores, nieces and nephews.
