Obituary
Rossville, GA--Marjorie Grace Ackerle, 85, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at a local hospital. She was a member of Stanley Heights Baptist Church, and has served for 37 years with the Baptist International Missions Inc. She was a graduate of Dayton Bible Institute of Dayton, OH. "She was the greatest mother and mother-in law in the world," by her sons-in law.

Surviving relatives: husband of 60 years, Walter L. "Roy" Ackerle; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Jeanne (Michael) Bates, of Chattanooga, TN, Cheryl Ann (Edward) Deese, of Moore, SC; sister-in-law, Veda Mae Salyer, of Dayton, OH; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie was a devoted Christain, with a deep love for the Word of God and a faithful prayer life, interceding daily before the Throne of Grace for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving mother and faithful wife, serving beside her husband for almost 60 years. Twelve of those early years of marriage were served along side her husband in Cuba, raising two small daughters under very adverse circumstances; never complaining, but with love and ingenuity of our small thatched roof house and a little bit of heaven, and with meager fare she made of every meal a banquet.-- In loving memory, Roy.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Heritage Funral Home chapel with the Rev. Brent Baughman, Dr. James Ray officiating.

The interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN.
