Deacon Peter F. Acquaro, February 28, 1948 – March 26, 2022. Peter "Deacon Pete" Acquaro lived a storied life with a deep love for his country, a passion for flying and a relentless work ethic. He is a Vietnam Veteran, retired Air Force Lt Colonel, Nassau County police officer, before becoming an airline pilot with US Air & American. Prior to retiring he served as an FAA inspector & instructor at Farmingdale College. He loved telling stories, cherished time on his boat, traveling & spending time with family. Pete is survived by his wife Kathleen, his sister Lorraine, his children and their spouses, Peter & Lee Ann, Phil & Nickole, Paul & Stacey, and Kerrin & Pete, his grandchildren, Nicholas, Brennan, Quinn, Harrison, Jordan, Caroline & Mackenzie, and his great granchild Hartlee.
