Virginia Sabrina Martinez, 18, of San Angelo passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, at the Word of Life Church with the Pastor Jose Flores officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.

Virginia was born Nov. 30, 1983, in San Angelo to Manuel Martinez and Adela Ramon. Dearest Virginia was a senior at San Angelo Central High School and would have been graduating with the class of 2002. She was an employee at Kmart and was very devoted to her job, as well as all else that she was confronted with in her short life. She was loved by everyone that knew her. Her co-workers called her the "Light of Kmart." We all love and will miss Virginia, her glorious smile as well as the glow she left behind in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Juan Ramon and uncle, Jesse Ramon.

Survivors include her mother, Adela Ramon of San Angelo; father, Manuel Martinez of Austin; brother, Mathew Martinez; one sister, Vanessa Martinez of San Angelo; stepfather, Aurelio Dominguez of San Angelo; four stepsisters, Isabel, Annabelle, Mary Lou and Betty Dominguez; two stepbrothers, D-Day and Mario Dominguez; three half-sisters, Catarina Martinez, Monique Gonzales and Irmalinda Ramos; two half-brothers, Martin Diaz and Angel Flores; grandmother, Virginia Sosa of San Angelo; godmother, Yolanda Gonzales of San Angelo; niece, Aleena Del Rio of San Angelo; three aunts, Marty Ojeda of San Angelo, Dolores Cortez and Junice Munoz, both of Liberal, Kan.; three uncles, Johnny Perez of Abilene, Joe Ramon of Liberal and Kevin Rivera of Tennessee; and several cousins.

Pallbearers will be R.D. Ramirez, Eric Escobedo, Genaro Duran, Eddie Morales, Daniel Morales and Jeremy Lopez. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Michael Reyna, Eddie Cardenas, Juan Alvarado, Ricardo Morales, Ralphie Bravo and Chito Garfias.

Lonely is the home, without you Life to us is not the same. All the world would be like heaven If we could have you back again. A light from our household is gone A voice we loved is still. A place is vacant in our home That can never be filled. May the God of Mercy care Over loved ones who are gone. Bless with consolation, Those left to carry on. The happy hours we once enjoyed How sweet their memories live. But death has left a vacant place, This world can never fill. How dearly we loved you and Prayed you might have lived. But Jesus beckoned And we had to give. God gave us strength to bear it And courage to fight the blow. What it has meant to lose you, God alone will ever know. We will meet you in Heaven. We love you and miss you.
