SMETHPORT - Kimberly C. Baker, 64, of Smethport, passed away Monday (March 21, 2022) at UPMC-Cole, Coudersport.
She was born Jan. 29, 1958, in Bradford, the daughter of Alan and Ruth Barr Covert. On Oct. 1, 1983, at Nebo Lutheran Chapel in Mount Jewett, she married Michael L. Baker, who survives.
Kim was a graduate of High Point High School of Sussex, N.J. and attended BOCES in Olean, N.Y., where she received her business degree.
Kim worked at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, as the human resource director for many years, retiring in 2021.
She was a member of the American Legion; John Berg Post #976 Auxiliary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Ruth Covert of Smethport; a son, Garrett Michael (Allyson) Baker of Smethport; a daughter, Courtney Michelle (Brett Morgan) Baker of Mount Jewett; three grandchildren, Weston Levi Baker, Avi Kathryn Baker and Lainey June Morgan; one brother, Doug (Diana) Covert of Farmers Valley; one sister, Lisa (Dave) Haight of Bradford; and several nieces and nephews
In addition to her father, Kim was preceded in death by an infant sister, Karie Covert.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Farmers Valley.
