Petty Officer 1st Class Patrick B. Mack of Warren, Michigan graduated from Center Line High School in 2002 where he made an impression during his high school years. He was an honor student, a wrestler and ran cross-country track. Patrick also participated in the school's Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps all four years at Center Line. He will be remembered for wearing his famous Tiger suit on spirit days and to Detroit Tigers games. He was always giving of himself and helped various causes such as the St. Leonard Parish haunted house to raise money for special education students. After he enlisted in the Navy, he returned to speak to JROTC students a couple times to share his experiences. Patrick was a fourth-generation sailor who felt great pride in following in the military paths of his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who all served in the Navy. He signed up for the Navy during his junior year of high school and re-enlisted for another four years. He was always giving of himself and helped various causes such as the St. Leonard Parish Haunted House to help raise money for special education students. Patrick was assigned to the USS Fort McHenry, which is on a seven-month voyage through the Gulf of Guinea aimed at training local law enforcement on maritime security. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Nancy Mack; and grandfather, John Plank. He was 22.
