Internationally known artist. His artwork was somewhat abstract in nature. In 1952 he had his first one-man show which was attended by Pablo Picasso. Picasso stated "well done". This gave Joseph enough self confidence to continue his work. He has had work exhibited in such places as the Smithsonian Institution, the Paris Museum of Modern Art, and other well known museums across the world. He remained close to his family even though he has lived in France the past 40 years. He is survived by 2 brothers and 1 sister who live in Bowling Green, KY. He loved both France & Kentucky, so he chose to have his ashes scattered in both places.
