Rachael M. Klaus, 64, passed away early Wednesday morning February 16, 2022 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center following a sudden illness.

She was born August 7, 1957 in Paulding, a daughter of the late Willis Oscar and Marjorie Irene Rawlins Hall.

On June 27, 1980, she married Philip J. Klaus, who survives, along with their sons, Jonathan Klaus and Steven Patrick (Whitney) Klaus, both of Spencerville and their grandson, Waylon J. Klaus.

Also surviving are her sisters; Shirley (Mike) Lippi of Convoy, Joan (Gary) Grubb of Van Wert and Linda (Ronnie (d)) Reno of Convoy and her sister-in-law, Doris Hall of South Webster, OH.; She was preceded in death by three brothers, William Hall, Calvin ( Joyce) Hall and Denny Hall.

Other survivors are her in-laws; Phyllis Seffernick of Wapakoneta, Louise Renner of Van Wert, Kenny (Sandy) Klaus of Spencerville, Rosemary (Jerry) Hesseling of Delphos, Dot (Doug) Geise of Delphos, Richard Klaus of Middle Point, Michael (Kim) Klaus of Mendon and Cheryl (Joe) Theobald of Delphos; three sisters-in-law, Marilyn Klaus of Tiffin, Sandra Klaus of Cridersville and Connie Klaus of Spencerville. Preceding her in death are her sister-in-law Cecelia Klaus and brothers-in-law, Robert Klaus, James Klaus , George Seffernick, Robert Renner, Albert Klaus and Joe Theobald.

Rachael attended the Paulding Schools and worked in manufacturing for several years at the former MacDonald Industries in Spencerville. She loved to "Spoil" her grandson and enjoyed playing Bingo with her sisters, fishing, and doing yard work. Most importantly, spending time with her husband. She was loved by many.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville with Pastor Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 PM Sunday and after 9:30 AM Monday at the funeral home.
