Carolyn Sue Kenworthy, born August 30, 1951, to Homer N. Cruse and Clara L. (Witt) Cruse, passed away February 16, 2022, at the age of 70. Carolyn was the third born of seven children. She was a lifelong resident of the Springfield/Willard area.

On September 12, 1983, Carolyn married the love of her life, Jack M. Kenworthy. Jack and Carolyn spent 36 wonderful years together before Jack's passing in November of 2019.

Carolyn worked several years for American Linen/AmeriPride Services in Springfield, Missouri, before aspiring to be a florist and began working at Schaffitzels's Flowers & Greenhouses in Springfield, Missouri. Carolyn worked there for many years and thoroughly enjoyed creating floral arrangements. After retiring from Schaffitzel's Flowers & Greenhouses, Carolyn worked part time in the gift shop at Fantastic Caverns.

Carolyn was such a joy to be around with her positive attitude and great sense of humor. Her smile would light up any room and her loving and caring ways will never be forgotten. Carolyn loved her family and friends dearly and would do anything in the world for any of them. Carolyn loved watching Lady Bears basketball and the Kansas City Chiefs. She also enjoyed rooting on her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews at sporting events, musicals and plays. Carolyn was Alan Jackson's #1 fan and knew all the words to every one of his songs. Carolyn loved flowers and working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed making jewelry, crafts and floral arrangements. Carolyn also like shopping at the local flea markets.

Carolyn did not have any children of her own, but she did have several dogs over the years that she loved with all of her heart and made sure they were all spoiled rotten.
