Ernest is the husband of my cousin Dulsebella Killick

Ernest's parents are George Avery and Ann Maria nee Kingston. Baptised at Saint Thomas Church in Southborough, Kent, on the 25th of May 1873.

1881 Census: Living at 9 & 11 Charles Street in Southborough, Kent, with his parents and 5 older siblings. His father's occupation is a cricket ball maker.

1891 Census: Living at 9 & 11 Charles Street in Southborough, Kent with parents and 2 older siblings. Ernest's occupation is Cricket Ball Maker.

On the 22nd of August 1900 at Saint Bartholomew Church in Burstow, Surrey, Ernest married Dulsebella Killick.

1901 Census: Living at 6 Prospect Road in Southborough, Kent, with wife Dulsebella. Occupation: Cricket Ball Maker.

In May 1904 a daughter Dulse Bella Avery was born. Sadly, she only lived for 3 days and was buried in this cemetery, in a common grave with 3 others (Stillborn Babies) - A search in the UK GRO indexes shows there were no more children born to them.

1911 Census: Living at 6 Prospect Road in Southborough, Kent, with Dulsebella. Baby Dulse Bella is mentioned in this census, as the one child born and had passed away. Ernest is still making cricket balls.

1921 Census: Living in Southborough, Kent.

On the 14th of November 1922 his wife Dulsebella passed away.

In 1926 Ernest married Alice Maud Stevens.

1939 Census: Living at 15 Vale Road, Southborough, Kent, with Alice. Occupation: Cricket Ball Manufacturer.

On the 29th of March 1960 - a day before Ernest's 87th birthday, he passed away. Ernest was buried with first wife Dulsebella on the 4th of April 1960.
