Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Memorial cemetery for Lee Alan Grotelueschen, 20, Lincoln, formerly of Columbus.
The University of Nebraska student died Tuesday at the Baltimore, Md., Cancer Research Center after a lengthy illness. He was a baseball player in the Atlanta Braves farm system during 1968-69.
Funeral services in Lincoln will be 9 a.m. Saturday at Roper and Sons Mortuary and 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Charles A. Reimnetz officiating. The body will lie in state at the mortuary after 6 p.m. today until the funeral.
Born Aug. 27, 1950 in Columbus, Lee was the son of Elroy E. and Betty Loseke Grotelueschen. He attended Redeemer Lutheran School in Colorado Springs and was graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1968.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
Survivors include his parents; brother, Randy, at home; grandparents, Mrs. Hilda Grotelueschen of Lake Worth, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Loseke of West Palm Beach, Fla.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia; brother, Rodney; grandfather, Ernst Grotelueschen of Columbus
