He is survived by his wife of 23 years; Linda Welch. By brothers, Sammie Welch and Lynn Welch and by his sisters; Jan Richie and Jean Cochran.
Growing up Jerry lived with his family in the Vernon, Texas area including the Waggoner ranch. He attended Odell and Lockett schools. He later lived in Wichita Falls, Texas and San Antonio, Texas.
Jerry worked at the Alamo in San Antonio for 26 years. He dressed as Davy Crockett every year for "Fall of the Alamo".
He will be missed by so many friends and his family.
