He grew up in the Acres Homes Community and upon leaving Waltrip High School, he decided to work with his father in the lawn service business and eventually took over the business, once his father retired. Troy took pride in what he did and mastrered the trade.

He and his brothers and cousins went fishing on a regular basis. Growing up, Troy was baptised at St. Monica Catholic Church, serving as an Altar Server and was also a Junior Knight.
He departed this life on August 1, 2021 at the age of 49 and is preceded in death by his grandparents: Rufus and Irene Myers; Marin Myers; Louis, Sr and Mary Simon.
Leaves to cherish his memory: parents: Felton, Sr., and Loretha Myers; three brothers: Felton, Jr., Herbert and Gregory (Cantilla); three sisters: Marilyn Adams (Clifford); Loretha Fielder and Serena Gann (Joshua) including host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
