He was a former manager and funeral director with Heady-Hardy Funeral Home and had worked at the Knob Creek Gun Range. Michael had participated in the USPSA and was a member of Beechland Baptist Church.
He was preceded in rest by his parents, Harold and Jewell Rhea, and a sister, Theresa Douglas.
Michael is survived by his wife, Pamela Rhea; sisters-in-law, Tammy Nelson Barker (Scott) and Tammy Humphrey; his beloved dog, Maverick; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be 12 noon on Wednesday, February 2nd, at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with entombment following in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2pm until 8pm
