OBITUARY - FRANKLIN P. ROBERT
Following a three-week illness caused by a stroke, Franklin P. Robert died Monday, April 4, 1932. The end came at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leon J. Hinkley, at 100 Burbank Drive, where he had been living since the passing of his wife eight years ago. Mr. Robert was a life-long resident of this section and was born at Getzville July 28, 1852. His parents were the late Nicholas and Elizabeth Robert (nee Brandt). For years he lived in the Getzville section, where he was a successful farmer. Neighbors entertained a high regard for him and he was active there for many years. Mr. Robert married Rosalie Humbert. She preceded him, as did also their two sons, Benjamin and Murray Robert. Surviving to mourn their loss are three daughters, Mrs. Phillip Bittler of Clarence NY, Mrs. Frederick Rich of Buffalo NY, and Mrs. Leon J. Hinkley of Snyder NY, also a sister, Mrs. Mary Humbert of Tonawanda NY; a brother, Joseph Robert of Getzville NY; sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The deceased held membership with the Randall Memorial Baptist Church of Williamsville. The pastor, the Rev. Arthur F. Williams, will conduct the funeral service to be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hinkley residence and at 2:30 at the Skinnersville church. Interment will be made in the Skinnersville cemetery.
