Warren Rowe

Warren Leslie "W.L." Rowe, 87, of Elkhorn City, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, at his home.

He was born in Pike County, March 25, 1921, a son of the late Lonzie and Addie Owens Rowe.

He was a coal miner.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Lou Rowe and Anita Lucille Rowe.
He is survived by his wife, Effel Looney Rowe; two sons, Leslie H. "Bubby" Rowe and Gerald Thomas "Bebo" Rowe, both of Elkhorn City; two daughters, Kestel Sue Bartley and Mary Frances Potter, both of Elkhorn City; three brothers, Thomas Rowe of Maumee, Ohio, James Carl Rowe of Whitehouse, Ohio, Clinton Rowe of Pikeville; one sister, Kethel Houser of Whitehouse; nine grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in the Bailey Funeral Home Chapel with Jimmy Ed Belcher, Billy Ford and E.W. Damron officiating. Burial followed in the Dow Brooks Cemetery, Draffin
