Billy John Adams, age 77, of Batesville, Arkansas passed away Saturday, December 22, 2007. Born on September 7, 1930 in Batesville, he was the son of John Q. Adams and Daisy N. Coop Adams.

He was a member and past president of the Batesville Jaycees, he was owner of B.J.'s Sandwich Shop, a veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Cornerstone Community Church in Cushman.

Survivors include one son, Jon Sherman Adams and his wife, Debbie White Adams of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Jamie Mobley and her husband, Garland of Cave City and Tracie Hollaway and her husband, James of Judsonia; six grandchildren, Christy Stark, Tiffany Hickerson, Catie Daniel,Daniel Adams Sara Adams and Jon Hunter Adams; four great grandchildren, Cloie Stark, Mattie Nell Stark, Harley Sentell and Dacus Hickerson and one uncle, Hale Coop.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Q. Adams, his mother, Daisy N. Coop Butler, his step-father, Tyler Butler, his wife, Dortha Nell Collins Adams and one infant son.

Services are Thursday, December 27, 10:00 a.m., at the Cornerstone Community Church in Cushman with Leonard Tharp officiating. Burial will follow in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Willis-Hays Funeral Service of Batesville.

Pallbearers are Andy Cowden, Travis Lawrence, Anthony Skelton, Tim Brown, Mark Cornett and Brandon Jackson.

Honorary pallbearers are Greg Vickery, Brian Harmon, Charley Traub and Jim Jackson.

Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m.
