Our beloved Gabriel Cristobal Mancilla left us unexpectedly on December 10th, 2014. He is the son of Ismael and Carmen Mancilla born on November 6th, 1975 in Yakima WA. Gabe grew up in Wapato WA where he attended Wapato school district schools and graduated in 1994. From there he moved to Seattle and had many colorful adventures and settled in Kennewick WA. Gabe was such a creative soul who loved making music and was a fanatic KISS fan; he knew the songs word for word. He could never sit still; you never knew what you would come home to when Gabe was home alone. He could have been connecting all electronics to the TV remote or creating a new cake recipe leaving his siblings to be the taste testers whether they wanted to or not. He couldn't resist walking by any buttons and not pushing them. Gabe loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling, caring for people and enjoyed hanging out with his friends. Whatever Gabe was very passionate about and believed in he stood by it wholeheartedly until the end. He truly loved and cherished his family and friends deeply. Gabe was a giving man as he showed us at the end of his life when chose to give life to others by his great gift of being an organ donor. He is survived by his parents Ismael and Carmen Mancilla, sister Victoria (Rodrigo) Lopez, brother Ismael (Veronica) Mancilla, nieces Niahmyah, Alexyeia, Nataliah, Mancilla, nephews David, Thomas Lopez, Ismael Mancilla III, many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. He is preceded in death by his grand parents Antonio and Victoria Mantilla, Francisco Jimenez and Guillermina Guzman. Visitation and Recitation of the Rosary was held on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Merritt Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Wapato. To share a memory of Gabe, please visit www.merrittsfuneralhome.com
