Daryle Lee Abshire 73 of Greenup KY went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 13, 2021, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland KY.

He was born on October 17, 1948, in Lake Charles LA a son of the late Joseph Loveless & Patricia Fay (Hensley) Abshire.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, a member of the American Legion and Lions Club International.

He was preceded in death along with his parents by a sister, Donna Cookson.

He is survived by three daughters, Dwanna Poole and her husband Ricky of Dequincy LA, Jessica Windham and her husband Buddy of Dequincy and Tamela Billings and her husband Eddie of Wurtland; the girls mother, Jackie Abshire of Dequincy; a brother, Larry Abshire and his wife Sue of Moss Bluff LA; a brother in law, Ronnie Cookson of Westlake LA; seven grandchildren, Chris Poole and his wife Claudia, Ben Poole, Erin Windham, Josh Windham, Tori Billings, Kolton Billings and his wife Hope and Hunter Billings and his wife Livi; three great grandchildren, Chloe Poole, Charlotte Billings and Mason Billings along with a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Wright's Funeral Home for the excellent care and services provided.

Family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W Fourth St, DeQuincy, LA 70633.
