Russell Warren Lake was the son of Roy F. Lake and Lunissie E. (HOSKINS) Lake. Born August 12th, 1899 in the small town of Portland, Indiana. He married Hazel Pearl Denniston on November 27th, 1920 in Portland. Russell and Hazel had four children, Warren, Bonnie, John and Robert all born in Portland. Around 1940-45 Russell and Hazel moved their youngest boys John & Robert to Kalamazoo, Michigan where Russell was employed by Atlas Press until his retirement.
Hazel his wife returned to Kalamazoo, then Portland, Indiana after his death. She passed away on Septemer 27th, 2001 just after celebrating her 105th birthday on August 21st. Hazel is buried in the Little Salamonia Cemetery, Portland, Indiana.
