Matthew Ronald Lechner, 13, or Freedom, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, December 7, 2007. He was born October 3, 1994 in Smoot to Ron and Laura Lechner.
Matthew enjoyed anything musical and played the piano,base and baritone saxophone and loved to sing. He also loved reading, drawing, scout camps, soccer, snowboarding and was an excellent student.
Matthew was home-schooled and attended Star Valley Middle School where he made friends easily and was liked by students and teachers. He had a quick wit and sense of humor that was delightful to others.
Matthew particularly loved being involved with the melodrama productions at the Old Rock Church in Auburn. He always looked forward to participating in plays each summer.
Matthew will be greatly missed by his parents, brothers and sisters, as well as his grandparent, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephew and nieces.
