She was 3 days shy of her 98th birthday. She was born Dec. 15, 1923, the daughter of Alexander and Kiriakoula (Malaxakis) Leondakis.
Her beloved husband, Kosta Agathangelakis, passed away in 1989. She leaves her only daughter, Elaine "Aggie" DiGregorio and her beloved son-in-law Paul DiGregorio, with whom she lived. She also leaves her 2 granddaughters whom she adored, Alexandra DiGregorio of Brooklyn, NY and Amanda DiGregorio and her partner Mike Salah of Southbridge; her great granddaughter and the sunshine in her life, Raegan Alexandra Salah; her nephew, Dr. George Flouris and his wife Katerina of Athens, Greece; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her very dear friends the Kamizirides family. She was predeceased by her only brother, Nick Leondakis, who she came to America with and by her two sisters, Maria Kallergis and Chrisoula Flouris.
Anna was a longtime devoted member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church where she was very active for many many years; she was a former Sunday School Teacher at the church, a former Council Member, and was president of the Ladies Philoptochos Society for many years. In the 1990's she was recognized by Bishop Methodios for her many years of dedicated service to St. George Church. Anna worked at the American Optical Co. and later Schott Fiber Optics for many years, retiring in 1989.
