Kelly M. Abraham, age 93, of West Peoria, passed away at 11:03 PM on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, surrounded by her family. She was born April 2, 1928 in Mt. Vernon, IL to Thomas and Ethel (Kirk) Harvey. She married Edward F. Abraham on May 1, 1948 in Peoria and they spent 33 wonderful years together before his passing on November 17, 1981. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Lynn Tolson, two brothers, and two sisters. Kelly is survived by two daughters, Vicki (Bob, deceased) Winn of Peoria and Amy (Mike) Erie of Mt. Vernon, WA, eight sons, Mark (Sharon) Abraham of Peoria, Brad Abraham of West Peoria, Clark Abraham of West Peoria, Eric Abraham of the Philippines, Kirk (Lorraine) Abraham of Metamora, Geoff Abraham of GA, Matt (Kathy) Abraham of Peoria, and Adam (Lisa) Abraham of Waukesha, WI, 27 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She was a social worker for St. Joseph Nursing Home for 25 years, retiring in 2003. She was a West Peoria Township Trustee for 20 years. Many years of her life were spent raising her large family, all of whom benefited from her ferocious love and protection, her indomitable spirit, her endless store of hugs and kisses, and her attitude that life should be mostly fun. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Washington state and Florida for family visits and to New York City with friends. She was an avid fan of black and white movies and was enamored of John Wayne movies. She had a brief stage career starring in the St. Mark grade school "stunt shows" and forged many friendships there. Possibly her favorite pastime was lunch with the "grateful grannies" and margaritas. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 5:00-7:00 PM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the church, and Father Stephen Willard will preside. Burial will take place at St. Josephs Cemetery in West Peoria. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to OSF Children's Hospital of Illinois or Sophia's Kitchen. Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements and condolences may be left at www.Woolsey-Wilton.com.
